After 5 years of construction, the new National Library of Luxembourg was opened in October 2019. Here, you can consult more than 200,000 documents and titles which form the various collections, but you can also work, exchange ideas, or just relax in a reading room, or at the café.

The impressive but inviting facade of the building opens onto a terraced interior with characteristic columns reminding visitors of trees. Its warm red colour and the over-all harmonious but dynamic geometry make the building stand out on the plateau de Kirchberg.

The minimalistic, illustrative style of the visuals sets the stage for the world of dis-coveries which await, inside the building.
