The documentary style of photographer Tom Hermes probably stems from his background as a journalist and his wider experience in communications.

Eschewing the nearly unlimited possibilities technology offers today, Tom uses very simple equipment, without any additional treatment. Instead, he focuses on the in-tensity of a scene, forming part of an integral whole. The result is a rather unex-pected view of his chosen subjects.

The series of books maintains some identifying brand elements throughout, but, since Tom’s camera always sees things differently, each edition is unique.
